Class Add/Drop Policy
DROPPING A CLASS

-
Should a student’s enrollment be terminated or canceled for any reason, all credits and refunds will be made according to the following refund schedule:
-
If you cancel your enrollment in a course [in writing] up to 72 hours prior to the course's first day, you may elect to receive 100% refund of fees and tuition or equivalent school credit.
-
If you cancel your enrollment [in writing] less than 72 hours in advance of the first day, but at least 24 hours before the first class, you may elect to receive 100% refund (minus a $25 drop fee) or school credit equivalent to 100% of the tuition to use toward another class with no drop fee.
-
If you cancel fewer than 24 hours before the first class starts or after a course has begun, anytime through 50% of the course (ie: up to six weeks into a 12 week class, up to four weeks into an eight week class, up to three weeks into a six week class) you may elect to receive a prorated refund minus a $35 late drop free or prorated school credit to use toward another class with no drop fee.
-
Course completion is computed on the number of weeks completed since enrollment to the total number of weeks allocated to complete the course, whichever is greater.
-
Canceling after completing more than 80% of a course will result in no refund.
-
Courses are self-contained and limited to the allotted weeks (there are no make-up classes.)
-
Missed classes initiated by a student will not be prorated and will not result in a refund.
-
Cancellation requires the submission of a Cancellation Request in writing via email to school@improtheatre.com.
-
Additionally, if Impro Theatre School must discontinue or cancel a course for any reason, a full refund will be issued or the student can choose to receive a credit for a class at a later date. Credit must be used within 120 days.
-
For the CORE program please see the student handbook for allowable absences and class attendance in regards to program progression.
-
Refunds will be made within 30 days of termination of student’s enrollment or receipt of Cancellation Request from the student.

ADDING A CLASS

Joining a class already-in-progress will not result in a prorated rate. In some cases, by special request, we may consider a prorated tuition for a late-enrollment. We reserve the right to make this determination on a case-by-case basis. It's at the discretion of Impro Theatre school whether or not a student will be permitted to join a class past open enrollment. Please contact school@improtheatre.com for questions or concerns or to register for a class after open enrollment.
