Laurie Jones can be seen at Impro Studio performing with the Impro Lab as well as in The Improvised Generation, Stranger Suggestions, and with her weekly guest group, Ripley Improv. She has also performed in Nancy Drew Unsolved, Improvised Tennessee Williams, Improvised Chekhov, Horror Unscripted, and Home for the Holidays. She is a founding member of Wishbone Theatre Collective and has performed in Hollywood, Chicago, and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals. Laurie co-wrote and co-directed Wishbone’s latest play, Fair, currently running at fringe festivals across the country. Laurie has performed in numerous Wishbone Productions as well as performed at Dream Theater Company, Chicago DCA, Donny’s Skybox, and iO Chicago. Some of her favorite theatrical roles include playing Widow in Noah Haidle’s Vigils, Jane in Pride and Prejudice, and Elise in the premiere of Adam Szymkowicz’s play, Incendiary. She has degrees from Clemson University, University of York, and studied comedy at the Second City Conservatory. Laurie recently played a kick-ass lunch lady in the short film, 8 1/2, a new take on Fellini’s masterpiece, which premiered at Cinequest Film Festival. When Laurie is not acting, writing, or directing, she is impact producing for documentary films or trying on a variety of bridesmaid’s dresses…it always takes more time than you think.
