Sara Mountjoy-Pepka is a Los Angeles-based actor, improviser, and mime. Proudly hailing from Seattle, plus a few great years in Chicago (Go ‘Cats!), she is now equally loyal to L.A. but still likes it when it rains.
Sara performs improvised comedic and dramatic theater multiple nights a week at Impro Studio, in the heart of Los Feliz Village. At Impro Studio, she is director/producer/actor in The Improvised Generation, creating full-length improvised episodes in the style of Star Trek: TNG; a member of the premiere Impro Lab ensemble (Tennessee Williams, Twilight Zone, Jane Austen, Rom-Com, Passion Noir); a founder of Ripley, seven women creating 60-minute YA dystopia improvised plays; and the monoscene duo In the Car with Nick and Sara. She has also been a guest artist in Impro Theatre’s Main Company shows Dorothy Parker UnScripted and Horror UnScripted.
While in the Pacific Northwest, Sara worked with many of the region’s most respected groups including Book-It Repertory Theatre, Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, New Century Theatre Co., Seattle Children’s Theatre, and Seattle Shakespeare Co., and appeared in over 25 commercials/industrials as a principal. As an ensemble member of Unexpected Productions from 2009-2014, Sara performed weekly in Seattle’s premiere improvisational comedy show Seattle TheatreSports.
As a member of Magic Circle Mime Co., Sara has mimed family concerts with dozens of major symphony orchestras across North America, Europe, and Asia, and traveled to South Korea in May 2017 to perform “The Listener” live, later shown on national television.
Sara has appeared in over 25 commercial/industrial spots and is represented by Avant Artists. For more info, visit www.saramountjoypepka.com or find her on Twitter/Instagram @smountjoypepka .
